Life's a journey... join me on mine?

Well, I am finally getting around to writing my first blog post. You will soon find that I am not the next William Shakespeare, nor do I have the ability to captivate the audience like a Beth Moore. However, writing is how I express myself. It is how I, in a sense… Dare to Dream Awake,  hints the title of my blog.  You will also learn that I am on quite the journey. Some would like call it a roller coaster; I choose to believe it’s a journey. Like any one of the “greats” we now read about in our history books we, unwilling, learn how most, if not all, of their lives consisted on a so called “journey” in which lead them to that person we now read and learn about today.
Life is not always that ideal baseball game, promising that each series at bat you get all fast ball right in that pocket, setting up that moment for you to hit a home run and possibly even a grand slam.  HA !   Nope. In fact more times than not life will consist of “curve balls” . . . leaving you questioning and before you know it the umpire signals its three strikes and you’re out. Sound familiar?  I am sure it does. Actually I’m willing to bet that, unless you’re just not human, that you know EXACTLY what I am talking about, because life is a constant series of   “unknowns” and “uncertainties.” Granted there are those moments when you finally get that fast ball and… *swings* HOME RUN!!

In the same way we know that there is sometimes a “diamond in the rough.” If you follow?!

So as we began to get to know each other I hope you will "Dare to dream awake” and journey with me. And hopefully, in the end, we will see that “fast ball” fall right into pocket, or possibly even find that rare” diamond in the rough.”  Who knows? So put your gear on… and keep your ball bat in hand because you never know what’s coming your way. In other words, BE READY FOR ANYTHING.
